Message from Director Information Research News Other clinical trials Worldwide associations

It is my pleasure to present to you the first Anglophone site entirely dedicated to Myotonic Dystrophy (Steinert Disease). After working on this disease for over 25 years, I have decided to develop a website in order to:

1.       Offer information about the disease, the current state of research, associations and support groups that are available to patients and their families as well as the opportunity to exchange information with people suffering from this disease and to direct any medical questions to a specialized team.

2.       Offer information about the disease to healthcare professionals in order to help them diagnose, treat and care for people who have this disease.

3.       Offer a unique portal for researchers giving them access to an international registry of available human research material.

The goal of this website is to encourage greater interaction and exchanges between people living with the disease, their families, doctors, scientists and volunteer workers. By working together, I believe that we can contribute to better care for patients and help in the daily fight against isolation and exclusion to promote a better quality of life.
